During the winter that we met Doug found out that KISS was coming to Florida in July.

He was so excited and asked if I would join him for the big show.

It was an outdoor event and I had previously found out that you could bring coolers, food, blankets, and chairs.

The day of the show I packed up a whole bunch of snacks, drinks, bug spray: all sorts of things to make us comfortable after the long day at work and then the drive up to the amphitheatre.

KISS was amazing, that is, after a few false starts.

His Take:

I'd been looking forward to this concert all of my life. It was great to be sharing “all that is KISS” with Jules. She picked me up from work with a change of clothes and food because we had to haul ass during rush hour, trying to get up to the amphitheatre on time..

After the loooong walk to the entrance, they wouldn’t let us in with our stuff because our cooler was hard, not soft-sided! Needless to say, in July temps, the walk back to the car was not exactly our idea of fun. Once back at the car, we discovered Jules had left it running. Mötley Crüe (opening act) stunk it up, but KISS was everything I'd expected!
